Tuesday Random Links of (possible) Interest

Here are some links while I contemplate what makes the dribble-drive motion “offense” an offense and whether or not Alex Tyus has thermal sensing vision like his brother, Predator.

Tennessee does what lesser programs do and creates a shirt to commemorate their defeat of a #1 team, at home,  in January. I give them a ton of credit for the win, but was that really necessary?  Here is there post-game locker room video if you want to see it.  Conveniently edited to exclude Wayne Chism pulling a glock from his locker on Skylar McBee for “acting all white and faggoty.”

Almost half for UK @ Florida and I’ve seen the teams run a classic offensive set about 5 times…a decent defensive stand has yet to happen for Florida.

Speaking of John Wall, he has declared to enter…well just read it.  I really hope there is a freshman named Ashley Harbrough at UK.  That Brinks Campbell is quite the cocksman.

It’s KIFFIN!  This, will end well.

Ok, Blue Mountain State is on now…I can’t watch Florida “play basketball” anymore.

    Can’t really hate on Tennessee for the t-shirts. Weren’t there plenty of KU 76 – Nebraska 39 shirts going around? And Nebraska was shitty that year.

    Triston – re. Nebraska shirt from KU: like he said, that’s what lesser programs do, and we were (and really still are — until HFC Gill puts his mark on the org, of course). if such a result happened again, I would expect more of us this time around. and, they had NEVER beaten a #1 team, so I can’t totally blame them; maybe next time they’ll act like they’ve been there before.

    If there was a 76-39 shirt, I will bet every dollar I have that [insert: every curse word known to man] guy at Joe-College made it.

    Also, LOL at Orgeron calling kids who were already on campus in Knoxville to tell them they could come to USC. This Kiffin is all class, from top to bottom.

    Ben, that’s why I’m not hating on them. It goes to show just how elite our program is. An example: if we were #12 and lost to an unranked missouri team (or any other unranked team) they would rush the court. K-state lost there on Saturday and nobody stormed the court.

    I can remember in 2000, we beat CU in Lawrence 23-15 and people ran out onto the field. No problem right, CU was a good progam. However, they were unranked and had a record of 1-5 coming into Lawrence that year. A friend of mine was an equipment manager on that CU team and he said everyone was so embarassed that they’d let a “nothing of a program like KU, beat the powerhouse that was CU.” And at the time, he was right.

    Maybe we should be happy that teams get so excited over beating us. Sure as hell is better than teams expecting to beat us.
